Like an Angel

She lies there like an angel
Her mane on my pillow
Her prints a snowy leopard
Beneath my winter moon
She hangs there like a promise
Her sun through my window
Her touch is soul water
On my blazing noon
She never ever comes too soon
Like when we were young
And we walked through the forest
In the middle of the night
We could see the storm was coming
But did not pay it any mind
Now we come to walk in the cities
In our robes of many colors
Trying to call forth
On the beautiful
Sisters and brothers
It is this that we forgot
To become what we’re not
But you my grace touched one
Have blessed me like the sun
So with you inside I will finish
This road we have begun
And never ever come too soon
Like an angel
You will come to me
From across the sea
Daughter of the mystery
I am your freedom
Of your very own home
Build it with me now
I will rise up
To you somehow
Like an angel
